Hi! I’m Ivan Castilleja Palomo, a graphic designer born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I studied at the University of Central Oklahoma, where I earned my BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Illustration. As a first-generation Mexican American and Native American of Chichimeca descent, I draw inspiration from my cultural heritage and the diverse cultural influences woven into Oklahoma City.

During my time at UCO, I was selected to be part of the President’s Concert, an invitation-only event featuring a collaboration between the UCO Symphony Orchestra and UCO School of Design illustration students. As part of this interdisciplinary collaboration, I created illustrations inspired by Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky, translating the music into visual interpretations that brought together the worlds of classical music and illustration.

I’m always looking for opportunities to grow, experiment, and push my creative boundaries. I’m excited to connect and collaborate with fellow designers, explore new perspectives, and discover new possibilities through design!
